We Started By remodeling The Bathroom

December 15, 2013

If you're not already familiar with what our blog is all about you can read it right here.

My husband and I recently remodeled our bathroom. Before the remodel I figured it would be easy since it was such a small space, however there were issues as soon as I ripped of the wall paneling.

We had to deal with mold and cracks in the dry wall. I felt like it would never get done. However my Husband got to work and he did finish the project. That was just the beginning, we also wanted to replace our shower surround. Of course there were problems with that as well. We have windows that made the new surround impossible to place around so it was another road block. More frustration and feeling like the project was a bad idea. However, if you calm down and figure it out everything is fine. We found the right piece and it is completed.

It still is not completed as I need to finish painting so it is an ongoing process. People think that a remodel will be simple and easy. There is a lot more to it than what people think. You want it done right, but it can be frustrating. It's definitely not an overnight fix. However looking at the progress now, I am in love with the bathroom. It is exactly what I envisioned. Throughout the process you feel a bunch of emotions, but in the end I felt great excitement and joy. I have looked at the ugly bathroom for three years and now it is beautiful.

Everything was worth it in the end. Remodeling is frustrating, especially if you do not know what your really doing. I feel that you should definitely feel that you should research your ideas and talk to people who know what they are doing. Some projects are difficult and you run into problems that you don't expect. Here is our inspirational picture. I hope to have one that looks just like it for you soon.

Welcome To My Blog

Hey there. So this is my blog and the stories above are what I have decided to share about my home improvement projuect. I hope that you enjoy what I have to share. I'm sure that things are going to get a bit dicey over the next few months as we open up walls, remove countertops, strip floors, and learn electrical wiring.
